Bio

Shelly Encher is a Director of Membership and Outreach who partners with orthopaedic foot and ankle specialists looking to maximize their surgical skills, expand their education, and improve patient care.  Her expertise includes over 12 years of experience in not-for-profit member retention, acquisition, and customer service.  She is able to create integrated strategic plans which have proven to increase sales, improve consumer satisfaction, and establish brand awareness.

Shelly has worked at multiple not-for-profit organizations, including the Institute of Real Estate Management, YMCA, Stonebridge Country Club, and the University Club of Chicago.  She is a member of the American Association of Medical Society Executives and the American Society of Association Executives.

Having worked in membership for most of her career, she has developed a strong sense of allegiance for the “family” that comes with working in a membership organization and strives to help each organization thrive.  An outgoing, problem solver by nature, it is not uncommon for members to begin reaching out to her with questions unrelated to membership…simply because they didn’t know who else to call, and know she’s always happy to help.

Shelly holds a BS in Marketing Communications from DePaul University and lives with her husband, three children, and two rambunctious dogs in Brookfield, IL.
